New Computer Rebooting Problem

I just built my girlfriend a Duron 750, Epox 8KTA+, 128MB PC-100 (2 64MB sticks, one Micron, one NEC), 8.4 gig HD, no modem, Linksys NIC, PCI Graphics Blaster Exxtreme video, VIA 4-in-1 4.29 drivers installed, Windows 98FE with a generic 250 watt PS. Sometimes when rebooting the computer, it'll start to boot and then reboot and go through the Windows wasn't properly shut down scandisk routine. What could be causing this?

I also have an 8KTA+ using the same case and PS, so I don't think it's the PS. I'm also running more hardware than her computer. The ram from her computer came from my computer. Never had a problem with the ram. My computer hasn't rebooted. Anyone got any ideas?

Vyle...do a search for "restart"...I believe their may be a winsh*t fix for this...It has to do with the computer not sending proper shutdown signal to certain devices or shutdown is to quick for some devices...

Do the search I think it will shed more light on this...

temp fix to see if this is the problem is to go into device manager - performance - and check the box that says disable write behind caching on drives...test it see if it helps...if so it is the problem listed above and winblows has a patch. You do not want to leave it this way because you will take a possible performance hit on drives...
