i took the filters off the front fans of my case.
the chipset on the nf4 is supposed to be fine up to 60c, too high for my liking though. try rocking the chipset fan back and forth a bit to make sure its got good contact. i also took it off and put some as5 on there instead of the stock tim which helps.
people are also replacing that with the vantec ca-1bc i think it is, its called the iceberg. newegg carries it. its copper so it should help but it doesnt have an rpm monitoring lead if thats important to you.
currently, i get about 43 idle and 46 load. i'm hoping when the as5 i just applies cures it gets me back to where the ceramique had it, 40c idle and 44 load. all those temps are with the fan set at 2000-2500 rpm in ITE guardian, about 50% speed and 1.6 volts.
some people do place another fan to blow over the area but i don't think its necessary if you can get and keep load around 50c.
