Hello all. I am having a problem with getting a new build to turn on. As far as I can tell, I have everything plug in properly to get it to turn on. First off this is what I am working with.

PSU: Antec TruePower 750w
Mobo: Gigabyte Ga-MA770T-UD3P
Case: Xclio Windtunnel
CPU: Athlon X2 240 Regor
Ram: 4gb g.skill ddr3 1600
Video: Ati Radeon 4670 1GB
Sound: HT Omega Striker
HDD: 1tb wd black

I've tried to to power on with only ram, cpu, and psu connected but that didn't help. I must say that there is no light on the motherboard at any point to indicate power. I am thinking it's the psu but I am not entirely sure and was hoping to see what you guys thought. I don't have another desktop to test it on atm so I was hoping for some feedback. Thanks in advance.

You say there's no lights but do you get any kind of beeps? And, not to offend but, did you remember to flip the switch on the psu on? I've forgotten myself before! (That is a HORRENDOUSLY large psu for such a power efficient system btw. It probably puts out close to 10x the power your system uses.)

I'm not the most power savvy person but I do intend to upgrade several parts including cpu, graphics, and more hdds so I thought I'd need the power eventually so I figured why not. lol. There are no beeps and the switch is indeed flipped to the on position. Thank you for the quick reply.

He may perhaps upgrade in the future? It's not using any more power than a 300w PSU (in fact, it's probably less and more efficient) You are always better off getting a nice PSU, and minimum 550w nowdays.

Does AMD have two power connector to the mobo, like the intel? Make sure all the connections are there. Also don't forget the power pins to your videocard.

EDIT: did you connect the power/reset pins from the switch to mobo?

Since you didn't test the mb, ram, cpu, vid on the bench first, you don't know whether you have a hardware or assembly problem.

Never seen a bad Antec out of the box (I've used a lot of them). You can pull the start switch connector off and use a pocket screwdriver to short the 2 pins on the mb (eliminates the switch as a problem). You can remove the psu connections from the mb, and short the green wire to any black wire on the 20 pin section of the connector from the psu and it should start.
