Hey, anyone hear of www.ibuypower.com ? If you have, are these computers any good, because I'm looking to purchase a new one and they have good prices, but are they crap?
the pc im using here at work came from them
got it ~8 months ago, prices werent too bad on it then, dont look to be unrasonable now, and we didnt have any problems with the vendor. system has been rock solid too.
you could always build your own, save a few bucks and learn something in the process...most people here are more than happy to help with such a project
Compare them to ABScomputers. They are another relatively unknown with pretty good prices and they've been at the top of many desktop roundups in either PCmag or PCworld lately.
My current pc is from Ibuypower. Their products are ok, their tech support was mediocre and their customer service was ok. I had problems with my rig for 2 months and after endless phone calls where they couldn't diagnose the problem, they offered to take back their computer for a 10% restocking fee. I don't think I will buy their premade products again (or any other premades for that matter) but as a whole, it's not bad. Not great either. The only good thing about buying their product was that I was so infuriated with my reoccuring problem that I started to teach myself about computers and fixed the problem myself.
