new computer

mine old copmuter has burrned up after 7 years of work .. r.i.p...

i need help in building new computer the sum is i have 1000$ its litle flexible cause like to buys things that will work for well for ages.

So far i manged to build this :
Procesor :
Intel core i5 750/2.66g/s1156/8m
Motherboard:
intel p55 can't choose intel or gigabyte
Video card :
Gigabyte 9800GT 1gb option radeon 4890/70 also can't choose... or maybe somthing complitly diferent...
Hard drive::
Samsung 500gb 7200/sata ... never used all mine space...
case:
Huntkey
Power suply:
Huntkey Lw-6550-hg green 550W fan12
memory:
2x 2Gb Kingston DDR3 1333

That should leave you about $125 for case and shipping costs. Personally, I am more than satisfied with my $50 Antec 300 case, but you may not like it if you are picky about cases.
I am not sure what your intentions for OC'ing are, but if you do, a new heatsink is a must, which would probably put you a tad over your budget.

As for heatsinks, look at the Arctic Freezer Pro 7. It was one of the top performers in Anandtech's roundup and also one of the quietest. Not to mention it can be found for $25-30.

Well, when I found that yesterday it was in stock at newegg, but I guess it is out of stock today. I believe directron has some at $287 but you may want to call them and make sure, cause I don't believe they say on their site whether it is OOS or not. If you are close to a microcenter they have them for $299.

Ok, didn't know you were in Israel.

I think you will be fine with the 4770. You can compare cards at this website: http://www.gpureview.com/show_...hp?card1=575&card2=612

Huntkey seems to be a budget model PSU for countries outside the US. The reviews seem ok, but if you could find something by Antec, Corsair, Thermaltake, Enermax, or possibly OCZ.

I would guess anything around 550 should be enough for a single card setup, unless someone else thinks otherwise....

I think you are definitely set for future card upgrades. I would stay with the i5, as the core 2 line is not adding any CPU's, so if you change your mind and want to upgrade a year from now, you will have no where to turn but getting new MB, CPU, and ram.

Depends on the game. I don't think you will have too much trouble with the i5.

You may wanna consider a sata dvd drive. It just saves you from having to buy a thin wrapped pata cable, or have to use that ribbon that comes with the mb. Only $2 more.

as far as iknow myself inever bought either the newest cpu or graphical engine.
newegg doesn't ship intornationaly.
until i upgreit mine monitor samsung (913n) there be no diference between yoour and mine setup in games.r game computer you n
usualy for gaming cimouter almost none gneed the most powerfull cpu since the video card does the majority of the work.
i would even thought of buyind core 2 with best graphic engine ... and liquid cooling
