As we all know that using American Express Blue card, we can price match with any store online or B&M and get the difference back from them....

Well, I recently uncovered a way to get 200% additional price matching....here's how...

Netmarket.com - they have a 200% low price guarantee as long as it's an authorized dealer.

NetMarket Rules

So...what does this all mean...triple price matching.

Let's hear some of the great deals you can come up with!!!

It doesn't look too great to me:
Example: If you buy a product for $100 and find the product elsewhere for $90, Netmarket will give you a check for $20.00.

I'm pretty sure that this doesn't include any coupons from the stores nor does it include MIRs.

Don't like to give sucky news, but it looks like you have to be a member for that 200 percent deal to work, and of course, membership requires a fee. Probably not worth it.

Netmarket.com has been in business since at least 1997, and that is a long time for most online vendors, so saying they're gonna go bankrupt is veyr premature.

Also note this is a company that carries absolutely ZERO inventory and has NO SHIPPING department. They have made agreements with vendors all over the country to supply their customers with the products they offer. Netmarket takes the orders and sends them to the vendor(s). The vendor handles the shipping. When returning an item you still contact Netmarket, but return the items to the company who sent it to you.

If you have an order with multiple items, you may get 3 different shipments from 3 separate vendors.

I know all this because I dealt with them and got 3 different packages from 3 different shops...

While it was back in 1997/1998, my experience was very positive..

My experience with Netmarket was bad. I signed up for a free trial for something like $50 off of Priceline. I didn't see anything there that was worth the effort of purchasing - yes, their nominal prices were a couple cents cheaper than the "authorized retailers" they pricematch with, but their shipping was pretty high, and their selection was pretty awful - so I cancelled my membership as soon as I got the packet of info from them. Four months later, a charge for their membership fee showed up on my credit card, so I called them to complain. They claimed I never cancelled my membership. I gave them the confirmation number they gave me when I cancelled, the date, time, CSR's name, and eventually they agreed to cancel my membership and issue me a refund.

A couple weeks went by, and eventually a credit showed up on my card - for about 75% of the membership fee. PO'd, I called again, and the CSR told me that they had given me a pro-rated refund based on the time from when my trial period ended to when I got the CC statement with the charge on it and called them to complain. She then told me she couldn't fix it, and that I had to _fax_ a complaint to their _board of directors_ who would decide whether or not to give me a refund. I faxed their board, and sent a copy to Citibank, who immediately gave me a credit for the difference, regardless of whether or not they got anything back from Netmarket, and a couple months later, I also got a credit from Netmarket.

I guess I made out a couple bucks, but the hassle wasn't worth it. It's been almost a year now, just about time for them to try charging me another annual fee. Guess I better dig out the paperwork on them.

BTW, Amex won't PM purchases made at places with a pricematching policy.

First three months of membership is $1, and you can cancel before your 3 months are up without any fees. I still can't find any info on long term membership fees.

flaw: American express will not PM if a company has their own pricematching policy (unless it falls outside their policy, like Staples sometimes does).

Plus it is plain wrong to PM twice.

Is this documented anywhere by AMEX?

My 2 cents.

Netmarket aka shoppers advantage has been a catalog business
then added the internet presence for quite some time now.

Their membership fees is $59.95/year. I was a member back in 1997
and used their service to get some good deals then. But last year
i ordered a hat which never got shipped and i finally cancelled the
order. Since they use the drop ship model, some of their dealers
are not as good as others in shipping promptly.

As for their PM policy, though i have not used it personally
my feeling from reading the rules, is that it is a lot of pain.

Also note that their PM policy states that the price offered should
not have a date restriction - doesn't that mean you cannot PM items
on "sale" ?

Anybody else here notice that this guy only has 2 posts, both to this thread? Maybe it's just me being my usual non-trusting self, but I think this guy's promoting his own company...

Hmm, so did ValueAmerica.com, if I remember correctly, and look where they are today.
But then again, us Anandtechers sure did benefit from VA while we could!
