Hi, I just got this cpu with the stock cooler and with this config; i5-3330, Gigabyte GA-z77-ds3h, 8GBs de ram (4+2+2), una 5850 Xtreme (I will get an Asus R9 280 en a few days) and a Cooler Masters e600 and I got some questions.

1. My temps with the stock cooler at max rpm are 32-34º antes the rest of cores 42º on idle and 59º in some games without 99% load, If I get this cooler: http://www.pccomponentes.com/cooler_...r_212_evo.html will I notice any improvements on the temps? how much?

2. I got this PSU (Cooler Master e600) and I know its not a huge PSU, I'll get the 280 soon and I'm wondering if the new cooler would need some watts or something like that... what do you guys think?

3. ¿Would you recommend me another cooler (cheaper if possibly)?

4. Can I OC my CPU once I install the new cooler? would it consume more watts?

Greetings!

1. 59c is not an issue. You should only start to worry with your CPU if it gets up into the 90's. I wouldn't bother with an aftermarket cooler unless you find the stock cooler to be too noisy.

2. 600w is plenty for your rig. I expect you could probably get away with a 400w PSU. The fan on your new cooler, should you decide to get it, probably draws between 0.25 and 2w. Your CPU draws <80w, and your video card <250w, and everything else will be pretty insubstantial.

4. You can overclock your current CPU by 400mhz using your Z77 motherboard. I expect you can probably achieve that overclock without increasing voltage, and the stock cooler should be plenty adequate. Your CPU will consume more watts, but not much. Your CPU has a 77w TDP, but I expect that, at stock, it's probably drawing more like 50-60w. Overclocked, you might increase that by 10-20w.

You're well under the safety zone there.

That is more than enough power, 212 Evos are pretty nice little coolers.

Power if you have 600W won't be an issue for you.

An EVO just uses a fan like most air, it will be very little power usage.

A 280 isn't going to go anywhere near over power that if it's a decent PSU, I'm not really that familiar with the one you're using.
