I'm down to my last CR2032 Lithium battery, stored in my fridge for 10 years now, from a 6 pack I bought off ebay (from Asia) in Mar. 2010.
So, I go to Ebay a few days ago and buy a set of 10 Panasonic CF2032 Lithium cells, "**FRESHLY NEW**, "made in Indonesia." I get them today. I test them with my quality Fluke multimeter and the 4 or so I randomly tested by poking through the card were ~3.20v. The 10 year old one in my fridge tests the same as when it was new at 3.34v. The one that came in the chest strap heart rate monitor I received today tests at 3.36v or so.
So I'm wondering if I should make an ebay complaint that these "FRESHLY NEW" Panasonic batteries are substandard.
The cards say PD 10/2019, ED 09/2029, so doesn't look like they've been sitting around. But it seems to me that Panasonic CR2032 should test higher than 3.20v. Am I right?
Why are you buying batteries from eBay??? Wouldn't it be obvious that they will be substandard, considering that anything sold on eBay that is cheaper than market price must have been used?
Never buy from eBay for anything that relates to a health device, or a health device uses. If you don't want to go to a store, there is Amazon or even the battery manufacturers website.
