This seems pretty cool. It costs $229 US.

Here is the best part:

"The hard drive compartment can be opened easily to replace the hard drive with separate 2.5" hard drives. The capacity of the hard drive is limited only to the capacity of 2.5" laptop hard drives available."

Of course they also mention that removing the drive will void the warranty.

They should sell it without a drive, too. That looks like a cool little device, though. I like that you can put anything on it.

i have this player except it's the I/OMagic version. it's 20gigs and it's really big and bulky. kinda buggy too. not really perfected yet. there is a NEW player coming out soon the size of an ipod and much better then this one. i recommend waiting.

I agree that it is kind of bulky looking, but at least it isn't like the Nomad. The bugginess would be expected but it does have upgradable firmware.

I'm still hoping that Dataplay disks take off. It seems that they have some good backing and will be hitting the market this spring. 250mb for $5. Yes please!

Wow, this even works on a Mac. Its going to destroy Apple's ipod sales. Its like 150$ less. The only feature the ipod has over it is firewire, which is cool, but not worth *that* much.
