Dmb is SOOO over-rated. Well at least where I am from(north shore of Chicago). I've been to his concerts, I've listened to him for years, and SOME of his stuff has been alright. Very little, but some. But so many people I know live for dave. I have friends who go to every showing of every concert anywhere within a 6 hour drive. he isnt that good. he isnt that original, and he is no god.

To each his own. I've seen DMB 9 times in concert, and they are by far the best performers I've seen of over 300 bands, including Neil Young, REM, U2, Live, Counting Crows, Tracy Chapman, Beck...

Ahh, the never ending DMB discussions. I am still astonished that a band like this is worshipped as one of the best ever. A great band makes an impact on the rock and roll landscape. The Beatles in the late 60's brought pop music beyond the gushy love songs into music that expanded your mind, Dylan and Young showed the power of songwriting, Pink Floyd created art with their music, Led Zeppelin kept us spellbound with hard rock and references to druid legends, U2 brought us back into the Beatles era with well crafted songs and an unreal longevity, Nirvana broke all the rules, Dr. Dre and Chuck D introduced america to a new art form, and Radiohead paints a picture in our heads with their music. DMB? Well they were just picked instead of the Spin Doctor's and Blues Traveler to be the watered down version of the Dead for those who couldn't handle PHish.

You haven't seen Tool in concert have you? Talk about some amazing performances, they are even superior to DMB IMHO.
