new DDR mobos questions

Do those new DDR motherboards support old regular 100 or 133mhz ram too?
Also, does anyone know the top speeds of these boards. I'm building a new system and I wouldn't mind getting a ddr motherboard if it's going to make my computer last longer and more upgradable(saves me from buying another motherboard later when DDR is the standard.

The new DDR RAM is 184pin, the SDRAMs are 168pin, so DDR motherboards wont be able to support SDRAM. But I heard there will be boards having both DDR banks and SDRAM banks.

yeah, quite some new ddr mobos will have sdram slot.

Some DDR based motherboards will support regular 168pin PC100/PC133 SDRAM, however has far as I know the AMD-760 chipset does NOT support SDRAM.
I'm pretty sure ALi's DDR Athlon chipset does though. Also some memory manufacturers are making regular SDRAM in the 184pin format.

There is no limit to how fast a cpu can go in a mobo anymore as long as it uses a bus speed that the mobo supports since multipliers are locked on cpu's now it does not matter if your bios has them or not.
