well the one with 15% off expired. the new one is $699, so $104 more plus shipping is not free anymore. BUT its better. you get double memory so 128mb more (probably worth $20) and free cdrw or dvd upgrade (the cdrw upgrade is $99 or $49 for dvd).



i dont think shipping is free anymore, but you know you were gonna get a memory upgrade anyways, and cdrw for some of you, so it could still be hot.


it says you are not eligible for some rebate if you get the free memory, but the only rebates i see concerning the 2650c is if you are buying an axim pocket pc also.

He might be refering to Desknotes (both intel and amd) which uses standard parts (cpu, hard drive (2.5), and ram) that can be bought without an os.

I can't remember who it was, but someone on FW did come up with a config from IBM that brought up a T30? barebones system. He got shipping confirmation but it was caught before it got shipped.

That's what we figured. Unfortunately I'm an uber Ferengi geek and would know that 2350 = dimension desktop and 2650 or 2650C = inspiron laptop.

just buy some wood and pc boards and make your own laptop. plus, chances are it can float since the case is made of wood! :Q
