got it installed and running on one machine. This version needs a new proxy so I'm going with the default proxy for now.

team is active.. just use old email addys....
pproxies need new version currently in beta.. im running it locally.. works fine.. would assume stats proggies need updating tho. altho i did find a program that does basic stats on the 3rd party utils page. Its a win32 app. Im running it at this location: MY STATS FOR MY PPROXY. stats updated every minute
if people want to "stress test" my pproxy go ahead westwind.homeip.net:2064 <--default port

The Team Anandtech Keyserver was updated about an hour ago. RC5-72 is now active on it. proxy.teamanandtech.com (port 2064), proxy23.teamanandtech.com, and proxy80.teamanandtech.com are all active. Please let me know if you have any problems connecting.

The Orchard is online and cracking(although sadly, underpowered due to the un-optomized PPC core).

PS Thanks Brad

If the pProxy client works as well as the last one I should be back up to 29 machines crunching within a week or two.

It's good to see the little cow head back in my system tray. Look out Havoc, here I come!

Hrm.. Looks like the keymaster went down for some reason last night. My guess is that I accidentally left it running as a terminal window and when the window closed it took the pproxy offline. It is back online, and serving up a ton of RC5-72 & OGR requests.

Sorry about that guys.
Brad..

Is there any need for RR-proxies? I can offer one ports 23, 80 and 2064 open.

Jani, not at this point. The larger WUs, coupled with the slower times and fewer number of users means that the Core is holding up fine, and there's little need for redundancy at this point.

On a side note, Brad is going to convert the RC5 stats over to RC5-72 sometime tonight or tomorrow, so the stats on TA.com will be good(along with being the only stats availible for RC5).

ok... This scares me....

This also means that we'll
exhaust the keyspace in 50,666,403 days at yesterday's rate.)

That's 138812.06301... years!!!!! I can't live that long...

When I hit 500 WU in Seti I will think about converting back over to RC5. But I just might not... Seti is working wonderfully on all my machines.

I submited some packets yesterday but I still can't find my stats page for rc5-72

I need my stats dose!

From the log file:

dnetc v2.9001-477-GTR-02111118 for Win32 (Windows 4.10).
Using email address (distributed.net ID) 'dkappos@netscape.net'

[Dec 04 17:48:52 UTC] The keyserver says: "This is Cow 1 in Holland,
Ommmmmmmm"
[Dec 04 17:48:52 UTC] Retrieved project state data from server. (cached)
[Dec 04 17:48:52 UTC] RC5-72: Sent 1 packet (1.00 stats units) to server.

How unoptimized is the client for the PPC? My dual G4 is crunching slower than an abacus. It used to fly through the RC5-64 packets.

That's the thing, it isn't. The core it uses is the generic ANSI-Pipe core(it should use 4 pipe; it seems to be the fastest), which is all C code that should run anywhere. Only the X86 clients are optimized at this time, and it's still not great(although it's worth noting it took years for the RC5 clients to get to where they were). That said, if you have any assembly/coding knowledge, Dnet would love it if you tried to write a faster core. I would appreciate it too, the Orchard is still beating everyone else on the team pproxy, but I'd love to have my big numbers back.
