They claim the actually have a statement from 3DRealms that says it's a genuine in-game screenie. Plus it's from a 3Drealms job advert

If it ever comes out it will no doubt disappoint. No game could ever live up to all that hype... look at Daikatana. Nuf said.

I recall there was an effort to port Duke 3D to a GL platform, did that ever come to fruition? I actually thought Duke Manhattan was entertaining for a side scroller. The lines were funny.

I agree. Duke Nukem:Manhattan Project was a fun game for a side scroller. I'm afraid this is as close as we will ever get to another quality Duke Nukem game.

If they dare to release a new Duke Nukem FPS then it better be a whole lot better than Prey. Prey was aww-ight but got deleted as soon as I finished it.

In a perfect world the new Duke would be the best parts of Quake4 and Serious Sam2 mixed but with all the lame parts of each removed. Well, a guy can dream, can't he? :laugh:

Even if it is for real, it'll just be SSDD i.e. games have evolved well beyond what the "Duke style" of FPS had to offer. No amount of eye candy, cheesey one liners, or gratuitous sex&violence will be enough to make it a big hit. The likely user review would be "We waited all these years for this? Don't waste more than a 20 on it." What would be the alternative? that it would be completely unrecognizable beyond the fact that the Duke is in it? Nostalgia is probably its strongest attraction, and there are a ton 'o current gamers that never played it.

lol, some of the screenshots on there look like they're from the period when DNF was on the HL1.5 engine... comedy.
