Madcatz introduced a lineup of SF5 themed arcade sticks and Amazon has them all up for pre-order. The main additions are an entry level stick priced at $80 called the Alpha, the TE2+ which is basically a standard TE2 with a different theme and a touchpad priced at $230, and a TES+ which is closer to the original TE sticks without the pop top and detachable cable for $200. The TES+ is a little smaller and lighter I think so some people may appreciate that aspect.

Just thought someone might be getting SF5 and looking for an arcade stick. Amazon has the standard Chun-Li Themed TE2 in stock now. They should be plug and play with the PC version of the game as well. I know MS is too lazy to write a driver for the Xbox One TE2 so it doesn't function properly(the L2 and R2 buttons are not recognized), but a modded stick that has a Playstation mode will function perfectly fine on the PC.

TES+

i still think that capcom is going to have ps3 sticks working at launch when this game comes out. i just think they aren't saying anything about it yet because that would slow down the sales of these new sticks.

Perhaps but since we don't know, I'm planning on it not supporting PS3 sticks. I know there is a new version of the chronus max that doesn't have a 10min timeout on PS4 now and would also be an option if someone isn't planning to go to any tourneys and has a stick that doesn't have native ps4 support. It would be fine for home use. Supposed to be lag free too.

There is a new pcb that does ps4 and X1 as well that auto detects the system and has no timeout too. Think it does PS3 and 360 too, forget the name but saw it on srk.

Haven't seen that yet. I'm gonna try a chronos max and see how it works out. Could also use my Elite Controller on PS4 with it.

Just heard that brook USB adapters are accepted at Evo. They allow a 360 or xb1 stick or controller to function on the ps4 or PC with no timeout and without having a ps4 controller plugged in.

Hmm, I actually kind of like the look of the Alpha. I have a Hori FS Mini 3 for my PS3 that I love the size of, really a fan of 24mm face buttons. But the Alpha looks about as compact as a stick can be for 30mm, I wonder if it's moddable.

Oh wow, just noticed browsing through the related items that there's an FS Mini 4 now, too. Gonna have to look into that as well.

Pretty cool, I wish it was closer to $20 though.

Has anyone ever used a Hitbox fightstick? I'm debating about trying one out. I'm not looking for it to perform miracles, but it just makes sense to me (KB mentality - even own and continue to use a XIM).

i have never used one and don't think i could ever get used to it, but if you can get used to them they definitely have advantages over traditional sticks.

I've tried them out, and I imagine you could get good with them, but years of joysticks make it hard for me to want to.

If you aren't used to using a traditional fightstick and do a lot of typing / gaming on KB, I don't see why not try it.

Doing 360 motions and standing 720s is actually a lot easier I found. It is a simple like finger roll. Similar to pinking, but with the other hand.

I have heard that a few people play street fighter on PC using a mechanical keyboard in a similar way to the hitbox. I haven't tried it as I am comfortable with a traditional method of control.
