You see, Wilson doesn't own just a hat or two. By her count, the former Florida state House member owns at least 300 different hats, including custom-made sequined cowboy hats in virtually every color of the rainbow.

I also doubt that the newly minted Frederica Wilson is either the first or best African American congresswomen to worship hats or shows the proper long term dedication to the hat cause.

She is but a pale imitation of a long term democratic congresswoman who represented downtown Indianapolis since the time of dirt. And it can be truly said, Rachel was seldom seen without some outlandish hat or another as she died with with her hat and boots on about three or four years back. And now her grandson represents her old district, Andre may not share her hat fetish, but he will probably still represent downtown Indianapolis until some future GOP successor to Mitch McDanial's finally completes the sale all of the State of Indiana assets to some future as yet to be determined higher bidder.

As for ole Frederica Wilson, who owns only 300 hats, that leaves her 65 hats short of a different one every day in 2011, and 431 short of a full 2 year term. And at best ties Amelea Marcos in a hats v shoes fetish.
