More info, and pics here, but the good stuff is as follows.

Barra 182 - Twin Cam Dual VCT 4.0L IL 6 - 182kW / 380Nm (base engine!!)

Barra 220 - 3 valve per cylinder Dual VCT 5.4L V8 - 220kW / 470Nm (base V8)

Barra 240T - Twin Cam Dual VCT 4.0L IL 6 Turbo - 240kW / 450Nm

Boss 260 - 4 valve per cylinder 5.4L V8 - 260kW / 500Nm (available 2003)

The Barra 240T is rumored to be able to do and easy 400hp by upping the boost from 6psi to 9psi.

Looks nice but... It appears to be geared towards non-american markets, hence right-side controls. Besides, who wants a four-door high performance car?

The front end reminds me a lot of the Skyline (R34).

But i have to say, the Falcon looks pretty nice.

I like it. Very cool.
Too bad it's a Ford. I've had way too many bad experiences with Fords and I'm only 22 years old. I pretty much avoid them at all costs after I had a personal experience with their "quality" and their "service."

The pickup-truck looking one rocks. I'm a big fan of the El Camino/Rampage type cars....

There is a difference between Aussie Fords and US Fords... A while back one of the magazines here compared an Falcon and a Mustang. The Mustang had terrible QC. Panels didn't line up, dash was put together poorly, creaked and groaned, whereas the Falcon was built much better.

These new Falcons are gonna kick ass!!!!

Yep. That's overpaid lazy-ass union labor at its best.

Actually Ford (and not only Ford) has been doing just that for quite some time now, but kept low profile on the issue. Examples: Ford Focus was conceived and built in Europe before it made it's way to the States. In fact, in 2000 it was voted the best new car both in Europe and here in America and is the only car in history to get such honors on both sides of Atlantic in one year. Ford Mondeo is a popular family sedan in Europe, it is known here as Ford Contour/Mercury Mystique. Opel Omega, another popular mid-size sedan in Europe, is sold here as Chevrolet Malibu. Some folks may remember small and boxy Pontiac LeMans from the early 1990's, they did not catch on stateside mostly for unorthodox styling and mediocre quality (they were assembled in Korea), but in Europe they enjoyed healthy sales numbers as Opel Kadett. These are only few examples of direct cross-overs with most noticable differences in names, not mechanics and body styles.

wasn't it sold as Cadillac Catera? I'm pretty sure about that.

They had mediocre quality in Europe as well, I used to own one . But they were built in Germany (at least in here they were)

You're absolutely correct, I forgot about Catera. Catera, Malibu, and Omega are all part of the big GM. The only difference is that Catera was based on an earlier, pre-2000 model of Omega, and Malibu is based on latter.

I only had experience with Pontiac "clones" and all their VIN numbers began with "K" which means assembled in Korea.
