The game demo looks great, I don't like the game save setup though. Why won't game developers allow the gamers to save games whenever they want to? There are lot of people who don't like to save every few seconds, but there should be a choice for those who do.

Uhm ... where did I saw this before? Let's see ... IDSoftware anyone? Valve?
And Valve? Are you mad? Apart from HL1 & TFC, what have they come out with? OF, BlueS (i would have used full abriviation...)CS, and loads of other things associated with HL were/are all 3rd party addons.

No one mentioned it yet, but did anyone notice that this game actually is DD 5.1 encoded? You can select DD 5.1 in the sound options. That's a pretty big deal, as I don't know of any other games that have offered that yet. Now people using a digital out to their surround recievers can experience surround sound!

I have yet to be able to play this game. For a demo, it sure is buggy.
-I cannot run it at 1600x1200. If I try, it boots me out of the game about 75% into loading with a 'Critical Exception'
-I cannot run AA... if I try, the entire image is distorted, discolored, and unviewable.
-When I finally was able to play without AA or 1600x1200, I got a bluescreen and had to reboot after walking on the small island to the right of where your boat starts.
A couple similar problems on their forums, but nobody has offered any help.
BTW - Running P4 2.6HT w/ 512 dual channel, 9800Pro w/ CAT 4.1

to encode the sound effects they must be done "on the fly".
i doubt this could be done in software so the only option is an NF2?
is this what you mean?
If i was gonna be honest, i knew about FarCry long before it came to any media attention.
My old GF3 Ti200, came with a beta tech demo called X-Isle, a tech demo designed to show off both my GF3 Ti200 & the CryEngine.

Because no other games can use the NF2 to encode DD? I meant what I said, this game offers DD encoding through any soundcard\motherboard. I haven't tested it though.

There are only 2 possible ways of encoding DD in games atm:
1. Nforce mobo
2. Xbox... using modified Nforce mobo
Current processors are too slow to encode DD, i don't mean they aren't powerful enough but they don't have the responce time to make the sound in sync with the graphics

DeusEx 2 uses DD.
Theres a 3rd party wrapper that`ll allow any sound card/host processor to decode it, with no performance loss.

Alright then, explain to me why there's both a Surround option and a Dolby Digital option? What's the difference?
