For those of you currently using GameFly, what is your opinion on them, particularly since they opened up the 2nd distribution center?

[*]How quick is the turnaround time?
[*]How is their availability for new titles?
[*]How is their availability for not so new titles (Lets say R6: Vegas)

I'm seriously considering getting onboard despite my reservations. I've read they have improved alot over the past year. I just dont want to wait 6months to get my hands on a hot title that just came out. I can put up with a month wait I guess.

Here Ars some more opinions:

G.E.S.C. thread

Even if the shipping times are bad compared to my beloved Netflix, $20 a month still sounds much better than $60 a game.

turn-around times for me are pretty good. Have used gamefly for well over a year now.

The times when there was a long delay in getting my next game I have just sent them an email complaining and they went ahead and sent me the next game on my list. A few days later they received my return and all was well. They've been very good with customer support for me. one of the times that I complained they gave me $10 in gamefly bucks.

I live in Ohio and there's a DC in Pittsburgh, so it seems unreasonable to me that there is a 4 day lag time between points. In other words, I ship the game out on monday, they t ell me they got it on thursday, I get the new game next tuesday.

I will be canceling as soon as my first month is over.

My main concern isnt really turnaround times, but rather title availability. Reading the opinions in the link provided above, people are harping alot on always receiving games that are way down in the queue. I certainly dont want get the service, and then not be able to get any games worth playing. Anyone have any experience with that? There was mention that having a shorter queue with only games that you really want can be more effective, though you may wait a few days longer for the titles to become available.

love gamefly, average one day for them to ship a game or to receive one since opening the PGH DC.
wait times on new releases could be improved, but they've saved me literally thousands of dollars over the past couple years.

I live in Illinois and the only complaint I have is that turnaround time kinda sucks. It takes about a week and a half to get a game, but it is still saving me money. I got bioshock within a week of it coming out, and I have tried a lot of games I know I would never buy. Other nice things it brings is the keep it button which saves you at least $10 per 360 game, and the rewards points you get for being a long standing member. Don't quote me, but I think every 3 months you get $5 off any game at gamefly, plus a 10% discount at some point. In my situation of a household with 3 gamers(1 adult, a 9yr old boy, and a 6yr old girl), it is definitely worth it. We would be shelling out a lot of cash otherwise.
