That being said, the main driver for an SSD decision is overall performance. Since you use this system as your "daily driver" (read work and general usage), it is a no brainer choice IMHO. If this were a strictly gaming only system (like if you had a Macbook or something that you used for everything else), then the balance would shift to the GPU.
While you are correct that this is my "daily driver", and you make a good point about overall performance, the entire goal of me upgrading my PC was for FSX. I have a laptop solely for work and my desktop PC is perfectly fine for the work tasks I do on it.
Since you stated that - strictly for gaming purposes that the balance shifts to the GPU - do you now feel that a better GPU would provide better performance? Being that I could increase the GPU cost up to around $340, I'm not sure what cards would throw in that realm to be worthwhile. It seems all the high-end GPUs are in excess of $400+.
