Question New Gaming Laptop vs Old Gaming Desktop in terms of Preformance

I want to buy a gaming laptop to replace my desktop one , just wanted to ask what is the performance I'm getting with it compared to my old gaming desktop, and if its worth it...

ANY laptop will be much more expensive than the same performance on a desktop.. I would just upgrade to a new Ryzen 3700x and a 2060

This+ as well as the fact gaming and high performance laptops are more expensive to repair and upgrade. That fact is a major reason I will not own such laptop instead of a desktop.

That as well which is another reason to go with a desktop for gaming. Personally if I wanted portable PC gaming I would go for the GPD Win 2 which will even run Linux:
