This movie really shows nothing, not excited at all seeing as how bad the last one was. Reviews can prove me wrong but I don't have high hopes.

They somewhere that Godzilla is supposed to represent the vengeance of nature against us. But, they also mention that Godzilla is an anti hero - could that mean that he will defend Earth against another giant monster? My guess would be yes.

However, I think that monster might be a new American monster rather than Rodan or Ghidorah.

Evidently, the director, Gareth Edwards, has said that there will be no other Toho monsters in this film, so the other kaiju are original. We shall see!

I really liked it.

The key to any monster movie is to go in with ZERO expectations though. That's the problem with movies like Godzilla - you go in expecting more than it can possibly deliver. Either that or they remake a classic original that doesn't need remaking. The new War of the Worlds for example was worse than a movie from 1953. How messed up is that?! King Kong did pretty good but it was also over 3 hours long. I had high expectations for Pacific Rim but much like the new Superman I don't have time to just watch a bunch of stupid punching back and forth. Jurassic Park got it right but the sequels left a lot to be desired and I have very low expectations for Jurassic World. The last good one I saw was Troll Hunter. Norwegian movie.

I am beyond excited to see this movie. Because Godzilla, that's why. Sadly, I'll be in South Africa so I'll have to wait until the end of May before it hits theaters there.
