we won't see it on the PC till 2009, probably late in the year. I don't own a console so I'll try not to think about until much later, no sense in it.

Wow, Russian hiphop FTW. It looks like the story in this one will surpass all the previous ones. Could be good as long as they finally implement good on-foot combat controls. There's no excuse anymore.

When GTA3 was released it was quite demanding, propably due to bad coding/porting. Vice City was much better. SA was better in some ways, but worse in others.

So, yeah, it'll be interesting to see how well GTA4 plays out. Of course, by that time, we'll have some pretty powerful cards that should handle it well.

Couldn't agree more. They did a little better in SA, hopefully the improvement continues.

I was a little disappointed after my 1st run-through. But I felt differently after my 2nd, and really enjoyed it. I think part of that is due to my getting used to the huge area.

I have SA installed, got pretty far but never beat it, decided to run it out of the blue last night since I've reinstall XP since I installed the game the save files were MIA. I found a folder under the old user profile, but apparently copying it to the new user doesn't work. Loaded the game and it started over. Guess I could start from the beginning again. GTA's aren't the best games or even close, but I kind of like the chaos the lack of AI will tend to cause. I watched an Abulance get hit by a car, then it sped off running over a person and tried to hop over a freeway overpass. No rhyme or reason for any of it, poor AI will probably keep me playing as you never know what to expect

I don't really think this game is going to be fun. It looks as if it's lacking in the graphics section, which is usually a large part of gaming for me. Don't get me wrong I like a good story, but now a days it's getting hard to play games that don't look very good. I doubt I'll pick this up since it's probably just like every other GTA out there. I do a few missions then just screw around, getting hookers in my car, then killing them to get my money back and so on.

I bet the game would run perfect even now on Crysis-level C2D+8800+2gig hardware.
All the games coming out in the next 2 years will run fine (if the ports are any good) cause they will be made for the X360 and PS3 and those machines have already been surpassed by a good PC.
I just tried to play "Gears of War" (1680x1050 everything maxed out) and after Crysis it felt old.
