I posted one a LONG time ago. Didn't have many posters though. Make another one and I'll crank out a few pics of what I got (in my dorm) .. at home is another story. I'm mostly a drummer, so .. yea, can't fit much in here. I still play guitar though

Edit: On the good side -- I do go home on Friday for Thanksgiving break so if you make a post, I'll update with my drum kit, recording setup, mic setup, etc

I suck at taking pics. I have a few more guitars but they're in my closet. Too lazy to get em out.

most of em

Daphne blue USA '96 Yngwie Strat in the back next to a MIJ RG 2620 Prestige. Ibanez Artcore, MIJ Ibanez RG760, Guild Pilot bass, Mexi J Bass, 70's MIJ Strat reissue.

desktop Just a bunch of cheap crap. Orange pedal is a BB Preamp. Silver thing is H&K Tubeman and underneath it is a Motu Ultralite. Tannoy monitors.

How are those monitors? I'm looking to buy a pair myself. Need something for school... BTW, should start a new thread on this. I'll take pics of my stuff tomorrow.

They are a bit bass heavy but I'm not a serious musician or anything so it's good enough for me. Otherwise they're pretty detailed and sound good but I'm sure there are better monitors out by now for less.

Heh. It's Ambien. Keeps me from killing the neighbors from too many notes.

I played a nice Epiphone Dot and loved it. IIRC the pickups had been upgraded. Beautiful natural finish.

A guitar can only be as good as it's player. Gibson doesn't prevail, fender doesn't prevail, no company prevails. It's all a matter of opinion.

It's a plain top but this one had so much wood grain texture to it, it's almost figured in person. I'll get some clips of it up soon, for now I'm rocking out.

edit: thickness: Binding

One thing that bothers me is your chair. Do you play on it? How do you get around those arm rests? Since I'm short and fat, my legs wouldn't even fit so I have to sit on a stool to let the meat hang out.

That's a really nice guitar! I have the es-335 in red - 1997 model.

Is the body/neck smaller on the es-339 compared to the es-335?

We SHOULD post/resurrect a "show off your music gear" thread - it may lead to new friendships based on commonality in instruments!

Such a beautiful guitar, Platypus. How long have you been playing?

Thank you
I've been playing for about 8 years, 5 of that has been actually serious playing. I am self taught.

The neck is about the same. The 339 comes with two profiles you can choose. A 30/60 neck which is a 60's slim neck or a 59 rounded profile, which I chose since my hands double as catcher's mitts. The body is much smaller, its the same size as a Les Paul. Here is a picture comparison of the size. The 330 in the picture is the same body size as a 335.

Didn't that model also come with a whammy bar?

Also, nice axe. Looks to be in perfect condition.

No the 339 does not come with a Bigsby though other ES models in the Gibson line do.
