I just bought a laptop and an internal ssd. I was wondering how I go about installing the operating and associated drivers onto the SSD. Can I create recovery disks and then just choose boot from cd?
You can download install isos from straight from Microsoft, you can find the links on google. (These are legit isos, not pirate isos, they come straight from MS) Burn one and install windows then get the drivers from the laptop makers website.
Some hard disk manufacturers supply a utility that does just that! Check the website of the drive manufacturer in the support section to see if one is available.
The other option is to get Norton Ghost, this allows you to clone from one drive to another.
