Also, Idontcare, you use 667mhz ram? Did you try running at 667mhz with tighter timings? or going up to 800mhz with 5-5-5-15?

At stock I run 800 @ 5/5/5/13 because my DDR2-800 super talent is FTL when it comes to timings.

For the runs I did at 2.3GHz the ram dividers on my P5E WS Pro worked out to only have DDR2-767 in common for speeds <800

There were higher DDR2 speeds in common (900 something) ut my super talent won't clock >800 no matter how loose the timings.

Dang, my brother's Super Talent is the same way, my other brothers A-Data on the other hand that he got for the same price is pretty fricking nice for 667mhz, he gets 800mhz 5-5-5-12 out of it with a minor oc. I wanted to see how the quad intel compares to the phenom in this bench thanks a lot for doing it

Confused... 500 MHz FSB and 900 MHz DRAM = 500:450 = 1-1/9 divider?? Can you post a cpu-z screenshot?

@flexy - thanks for the data... what is your multiplier and FSB? Also which DFI board to you have (DK/UT) and how do you like it? How hot does your motherboard get? I'm thinking of one of these.

Yea I know it's funky, but the patriot I had would not overclock so it'd stay 800mhz and it just wouldn't be stable with those dividers. Now it's great with the memory running at 900mhz, I wish I could of got it to 1000mhz but it just wouldn't do it on this board. It's a 10:9 ratio. I tried to get it to run 1000mhz 5-5-5-15 wouldn't work even all the way up to 2.4v =\ but oh well It's good the way it is =)

graysky,

as stated 8x442 with divider 333/800 (5:6), running memory at 530.

I have the LT 38-TR2, bios 1/11. Temps are not an issue, also with higher V on Northbridge, higher VTT (1.42) and VCore at 1.42. But then i also have pretty good Aircooling. Q6600 is holding me back, 3537 is OCCT stable but there is no way to go to 3600, at least not with 1.42-1.45 VCore, and i wont go higher on the Vcore voltage.

when i look at any of the programs, like everest or ITE monitor or in bios ...i see mid 50s or max. low/mid 60s under load for motherboard/chipset....idle right now 40 C. Nothing would rise a red flag there. I am aware that those sensors are not accurate - but NB cooler and everything else doesnt feel hot to the touch either. I am already running a little higher voltages than many others.

Hm I think the contrast between my CPU and hokahknow's is very interesting. At the same clockspeed, his rig is, more or less, exactly twice as fast as mine. Which makes sense, because he has 2x the cores that I do. His is slightly better (10%) for 2nd pass. Perhaps because of all the cache he has on his CPU (mine only has 1MB).

@hokahknow - thanks for the data. A few questions:

Your 3200+, what are the mem timings and final mem core speed, also ddr1 or ddr2?
Your 1600 MP, what are the mem timings and final mem core speed, also ddr1 or ddr2 also, what is the chipset on the motherboard?

@bryanW1995 - got it thanks!

I guess you guys are curious on how a 4ghz+ machine will do?

I have very lose ram timings btw, i could tighten them up quite a bit.
