Hi guys, I really need some quick help here...
This afternoon I was using my PC like normal, and everything was fine... I left the PC on and went to watch TV for like 1 hr... When I came back, the screensaver is on, but the computer wont respond at all! It wont respond to the keyboard or the mouse... so I went ahead and just manually reboot the PC...
Then here comes the worst part... After I press reset, the monitor went blank, then turned off completely (well not exactly turned off, but the light went yellow instead of green, which means it's not receiving any signals... it's a NEC FE700)! As for the PC, the power light comes on, my CD-roms light up (as usual), and my harddrive light comes on, then nothing... no beeps, no nothing... it's just sits there and do nothing... I repeated this many many times with the same results...
Then I went ahead and remove my video card, and repeat.. same results... then I went ahead and remove every card in my system, so all that's left are the CD-Roms, harddrive, RAM, and CPU... same results, still wont do anything...
Is my motherboard toasted? I did not install any new hardware or software for weeks... have made ANY changes recently... What should I do next to find out what the problem is?
I really need help guys... I need the computer for school work, and can't afford to lose it for 1 day... please help...
