I'm tired of lurking...

1. Staples has the HP 932C for $199.99
2. Pricematch with Office Depot who lists the 932C for $149.99 online.
3. Use one of the $30.00 off $100.00 coupons for Staples
4. I walked out the door of my local Staples B&M for $127 after tax!!

I would not recommend this printer. I got it for free via the buy.com/estamp deal, and it has given me a number of problems.

Do you just tell them the 5 digit code verbally or write it down on a piece of paper? I asked the staples near me and they said they need a physical coupon with the code and offer stated on it.

I don't know what the difference between the 932c is, but I installed my 930c (estamp deal) 60 seconds ago using usb.

I got the 930c with the E-Stamp deal also. I have mixed feelings about this printer. It's kinda cheap looking, compared to HP of the past. It sucks for printing envelopes, as probably 1 in 5 envelopes would jam on me. Also, the ink seems to take an abnormal time to dry on the paper. It maybe just the paper I am using, but my Epson 860 has no such drying problem. I cann't really comment on print quality as all I ever printout is text off webpages/faqs/etc.

Overall, I would save some money and see if you can get an epson deal for 40 bucks or so.

Remember, if you buy this printer and the HP N5125 laptop on walmart, you get a $50 rebate check in the mail.

If you want a sort of good deal on Printer Ink for this. Officemax has a rebate where if you buy two HP ink cartridges, you get a $15 gift certificate card to Officemax in the mail.

In the 930C toolbox, you can change the Dry time. I am not sure how it does this, but i am guess, it just puts aless amount of ink down.

ive never changed the dry time or anything...
the only thing im pissed off about is i didnt use my printer for 1 month, and my black cartrige dried up or something...i tried doing the cleaning and stuff, but it didnt help..
i printed 800-1000 pages on that 1 cartrige..who knows how much longer it would have gone

Unopened cartridges last 18 months.

OPENED cartridges last 6 months. Opened and used, probably even less than 6 months. So yes, they do dry up.

Good deal, and I too am quite happy with my 932. It is fast, quiet, and reliable. One of these days I'll get the duplex attachement and save a lot of paper.

I am curious though, where are people getting printable coupons for staples or are you just telling them the code. Thanks.

I think the 930C is just a slower version of HP's 970 and P1000. I am very happy with mine.

cb4800, what problems? i think its a pretty good printer. ink consumption/price sucks as* tho. ive printed about 2000 photos already on inkjet paper. i so want to use refills if not remanufactured cartridges buy my dad is very weary of it. especially since i botched up the first attempt.. all over the machine hehe. i already refill my canon w/o problems really.

anyone more into photos and know of a good refill for this model? i need the best replacement refill, just there are so many resellers. its for my dad's office so it must be somewhat reliable. even with hp retail cartridges ive had to troubleshoot a few times. ok thanks

Thanks for the info mtillet. I did the deal and my shipped to the door price was $129.44. It is goodbye to my piece of crap Epson Stylus 740. I will never buy another Epson.

The 930 & 932 are exactly the same. The numbers distinguish between vendors. The envelopes were giving me problems also, but centering the envelopes in the slot eliminated the cramming problem. I use this printer and my 697c mostly for school papers so I get a dark enough print using draft/greyscale/light ink volume and my (black)ink lasts for a year.

cb4800, what problems have you been having with this printer besides the envelope problem? I know a few people, including my sister, that have nothing but praise for this printer including myself.

I guess I could comment on this since I own one. I'd have to say, great picture quality for a sub $150 printer. Not an Epson Photo Printer, but hell, it's a great deal nonetheless.

bckey, that's funny, I did the exact same with with my Epson 740 (replaced it with the 932C). POS was good for about the first 6 months, and then nozzle plugs up the wazoo. Trying to figure out whether I should ebae the Epson or just throw it in the garbage.

If you are still under warranty, get the print head replaced then sell it, you'll get more... maybe.
