Very frustrated with the new system I'm putting together as a replacement to my current HTPC. The system will not post, no video, no beeps. System fans will spin, HDD's spin up, but no other action.

ASRock H67M (B3)
Pentium G620
Antec 380W
ADATA DDR3 1333 2*2GB

So far I've tried the following with little success.
Breadboarded the system.
Tried the old power supply (Antec 430W), which I know works.
Switched out the RAM for 1 stick of the Corsair 2GB that I have in my main system.
Switched RAM between slots
Cleared CMOS
All result in the same. No post, no beeps, no display.

I did try posting without any RAM installed, and did receive 3 beeps, indicating no RAM.

At this point I'm thinking bad MB or bad CPU?

All power connectors are seated correctly. No bent pins in the CPU slot.

Facing something similar atm with Asus h77m-itx mobo. Mine does the same except it keeps restarting after the fans start spinning,, no post. Is that what you are seeing?

I think you've ruled everything else out. It's gotta be either CPU or motherboard--most likely motherboard.

I have 2 sticks of RAM that are on the approved list for the MB on the way from Newegg, if that doesn't work, the MB is getting RMAd

I think it is the mobo. My friend had a similar problem, and after exchanging the motherboard, it was fine.

new MB just arrived from RMA of the last one. Still no post. The only part I haven't replaced is the CPU. Joy.

So it was the CPU after all?

Nope. New CPU came today. Same results. I've also tried a dedicated video card to see if was a problem with the onboard video. I'm thinking that these boards are shipping with an old BIOS version, despite the sticker saying P1.80. Version P1.40 is needed for this CPU.

The issue is most likely caused by a different CPU ID, and can be solved with a BIOS update, or by replacing the BIOS chip.
It is not with all G620 CPU's
