Cool, let's hope ASUS starts shipping theirs too! I want to send my P8P67 pro back for an updated one.

"our new P67/H67 motherboard series based on Intel B3 stepping chipset is going to be shipped out from factory now"

gibberish!

Do these chipset SATA port issues have ANYTHING to do with the whacky BIOS issues ASUS boards have been having?

No that's an asus issue.

Based on these issues from ASUS:

1. Would you return the board and get one from a different manufacturer? If so, who?

2. How would that affect rebuilding with the same copy of Windows 7 (on a different MB)?

I noticed (a day or two ago) that Biostar now lists a B3 stepping version online for the board that I purchased (not built yet, lol - case will be here tomorrow). Now wondering if I should just test my memory, HD's, etc. on another system and build it after I get the updated board. Decisions...decisions.

You know they are the same company... right? ASRock is the cheaper "budget" line of ASUS

um, yeah thats why I put it in my post
But if you troll around the enthusiast sites you will see something to the effect like "they dont wanrt to be the poor relative anymore, with the P67 they want to stand right up with the best efforts of the big three". And if I need to keep a spare bios chip handy for a possible failed flash, then the ASUS is not the mobo for me, thats for damned sure. I have a life, thusly have better things to do than get a Masters Degree in ASUS motherboards and their tweaking interactions..

Yep- both CyberPower PC and iBuyPower appear to have the P8P67 boards back for Sandy Bridge builds to ship early next month.

I still haven't built my system yet (Biostar board from Newegg) as I was waiting on the rest of the components (case was delayed on backorder and was received today). Now I wonder if I should just wait a few weeks and exchange the board instead of installing the other one and then having to rip it out and place a new one in. Still need to test the rest of the components though *sigh*.

Strange, I have been an avid Asus fan, and none of their boards had any kind of an issue.(well, maybe the 680i extreme, but that was the chipset itself)

I'm in a similar boat with a Gigabyte board...

By any chance does anyone know whether claiming a rebate would void my ability to swap the board directly with Gigabyte? I don't think I'm going to risk it.

I sent in my rebate for my Biostar board. Not the least bit worried about it. Of course, I'm exchanging with Newegg so there is no issue (hell, I've exchanged boards before after sending in for rebate (UPC removed) and Newegg had no issues exchanging).

B3 Boards are already poping up all over the place in Australian Stores here's one http://www.pccasegear.com/index.php?...ducts_id=16787 + the price has gone up looks like intel isnt going to cover "all" the costs or it could be price gouging

Just like I figured, higher prices.

Where the rubber hits the road will be when the MB's hit new egg. If they are way over price from what they were before the old one got pulled then we will know its price gouging.

I was looking at and almost bought a $100 SB ECS board the day they got pulled.

Wonder how this is going to screw over people with Windows 7 OEM installs (new mobo = "new computer" according to the EULA, so no new install?)

Everyone keeps saying this but it shouldn't matter, or worst case you have to call Microsoft on the phone and explain to the rep what happened and they'll give you a new code.

I see a couple of Biostar 1155 boards in stock at NewEgg. Looks like there was a P67 Gigabyte earlier but it's OOS.

Seems more and more B3 boards are hitting the channels now. NCIX has a couple new B3 Gigabyte boards in stock. Looks like more will be here in the next few days.

The speed of the turn around is quicker than promised. I sure hope quality control was not overlooked.
