Intel shipped some D2's (like to Newegg and maybe some other places) until they discovered the problem with the password reset (big problem, because you loose everything that you have in the unit if you reset the password).
They inmediatly pull them off because of that, and this is problem #1 (and if you don't believe me, put a password in your driver, then reset it and see what happens).
The difference between Buy.com and Newegg, is that while the later is a responsible company, the people that you'l find in Buy.com are just trying to make a quick buck without caring about the damage the migth cause. (Doesn't the price they are asking for this units {if they really have them} says anything to you?).
And then is problem #2: Do you guys have TRIM in your drivers or are just writting at a snail pace into your SSD at soon information beguins to fill your driver?
Before you call names to somebody, please log into Intel Forums, OCZ forums and Newegg reviews of the units in question and try to see the big picture.
And I hope that you don't have the Intel G1's, because Intel won't even do anything for you when the TRIM problem is fixed.
And why do you think Intel has not flooded the market with units? do you have any idea how much money they are loosing?
Any units using the Samsung controllers have the slowdown problems, and everybody that uses them is quick to tell you that they are waiting for Samsung to fix the problem.
As for the Taliban thing (wich was meant as a joke), where do you think code is writen at a competitive price if not in India or Pakistan?
Eventually these problems will be solved, but if you are willing to pay outragious prices for samething like these units and have the problems they will give you, my advise is that you do your homework before expending your hard earned dollars.
