Thx for the deal...make me spend more money :-(
Reason I bought this was for my girlfriend's graduation gift....I would never buy it for myself because I am a PC person..hahahaa
I will get mine at $428.35 on May 6.
Called 1 (800)879-3355 and spoke with Rachel x84517
She's very friendly and I had no problems at all about the 10% off and $45 off coupon.
I just realized that there's a 20% off all software and accessories if you order thorugh SMALL BUSINESS.
That makes it $526 - $105 = $421. Which is a bit cheaper than $428.
My 20 GB iPod is nearly a year old and the battery still gets about 10 hours. If you checked the links I pasted, the replacement battery for the old iPod is $49...not anywhere near the $250 you surmise.Originally posted by: BobSnob
Reducing battery life is the ultimate sin in my book. Placing aesthetics over functionality should be a crime punishable by stoning. 8 hours may sound ok now, but what will it be after a year's use? Then it's $250 to replace the battery? I think not.
It's good to hear you are still getting good battery life. For those people who need a new battery and don't want to fit it themselves (probably the majority of owners) Apple charge them $250 for doing it (or so I've been told).Originally posted by: kidsafe

Unless they start making batteries that last days at a time between charges, I really think they should think about a battery extension pack. I know for sony mds, it comes with a battery extension pack that takes AAA batteries. The ipod doesn't have a similiar option does it?
