New Jersey residents and Newegg

About to buy parts for my computer online and I am curious what other people in NJ do. If there are any other NJ people here that is! Do you folks get stuff from newegg since they are such a trusted site and put up with having to pay the sales tax or do you go somewhere else with your money. Thanks!

The two things to consider are price and the reliability of a vendor. Consider tax as part of the total price you pay for your purchases when shopping. I've had good experiences dealing with newegg, and I'd buy from them again.

Newegg has one of the easiest and reliable warranties of any organization I've dealt with. You go to their online chat and they give it to you just like that. One of the best services I've dealt with.

i usually get my parts from amazon, tigerdirect, zipzoomfly and buy. dont really use newegg since their price is kind of high and tax

I never buy blind from one vendor. I always compare few of the vendors listed above (and few more).

Tax, or No tax, Ship or Free ship, are all tricks to fool clients who are ignorant, or like to fool themselves.

The only thing that matters is the total amount that is taken out of my CC when every thing is put together.

I must say that in Most cases the amount is smaller when I buy from NewEgg and it gets to me faster.

However if the amount is smaller when I compare the other vendors, I buy from whoever its total cost is smaller.

If you really want to avoid spending more than absolutely necessary, use sites like http://bensbargains.net/ , http://slickdeals.net , and http://fatwallet.com . Search those sites for what you want. Set up deal alerts if you don't need the items immediately and you can really save some money. It's like price comparison shopping on crack.

I'm from NJ and think Newegg is great. Fantastic deals, generally very low prices, excellent selection, and ungodly fast shipping, even for the cheapie free shipping.

That said, minor parts (say lightscribe dvds or cables) I'll check pricewatch.com or go to monoprice for cables and cable like things.

Zipzoomfly is my second choice. The don't charge shipping or tax in NJ, so they can end up cheaper than Newegg a lot of times. Their selection isn't as good, and their free shipping takes a while, but still a reliable sight. They mostly only carry big brands, so I've only dealt with warranties directly through the companies and not through ZZF.
