New Marilyn Manson - The Golden Age of Grotesque

Has anybody else heard any of this?

I absolutely love it so far. It's entirely different from his previous works and is another fantastic release. I wasn't sure what to expect with Twiggy out and Skold in but this is just awesome.

Anybody else have any comments?

I did like Portrait and Antichrist because I found them musically interesting but Grotesque just bores me.

I'm surprised you liked the first part of the triology and not the others. His style changed slightly from Portrait->ACS but it changed even more to MA. Holy Wood was a step closer to ACS than MA and I think Grotesque is just entirely different and not comparable to anything he's done before.

I like most of MM's stuff, in addition to almost every other conceivable genre and style of music. I also play the tuba, euphonium, trumpet, and piano (kinda)

the new stuff I've heard is pretty good, definitely toned down, and it seems to be a good progression from my favorite Manson album, 'Holy Wood [insert subtitle here]'.

It's not like I don't hear this stuff all the time. I swear some of my friends swear up and down by Marilyn Manson and the like. I've had to listen to him far too many times. None of this "I love Satan so let's eat a baby fetus" sh!t phases me, but I swear it is some of the worst music ever. I am torn by which is worse, the dumbass "rock" music nowadays like Marilyn Manson, or the bling blingin' rap music that I am forced to hear day in and day out. I guess you're right, it's just not my cup of tea.

If he had, he would have realized that MM doesn't believe in a God or Satan. But let him go ahead and remain ignorant while running his mouth about things he knows NOTHING about.
