hey if it's cheap buy alot and use it over time... I never have any experience with Maxell batteries though .. if it works like Duracell then it's a HOT HOT Deal..

You obviously don't have kids! I've given up on using rechargeable batteries in my kids' toys since they "misplace" toys for weeks/months at a time---sometimes permanently---which makes that a pricey proposition.

Yup Yup! If you have kids, you'll understand why you prefer regular alkaline batteries than the expensive rechargable NiMH battaries. Most of the time kids misplace battaries from their toys.

Hell Batteries last for like 10 years. Im sure you can use all the AAs by then especially if you ever travel and want to use a CD player or a digicam.

Home depot has/had an Energize Battery Kit originally for $19.95 in the 60% off section. The Kit has ~12AA, 4AAA, 2C 4D & 2 9v. It rang up at $5.99 last night. Comes in a rubbermaid like organizer that holds all the batteries. Might be hard to find, but, worth checking out if you happen to be in HD.

what happened to the 10 AAA batteries?

i looked in the Weekly AD and there wasnt an advertismsent for it...

anyone have a copy of that AD?

(the batteries are dated 10/2006 and 03/2006, make sure u get the ones that will last the longest...)

Ug, I was just there today after reading this AM about this deal. I told the sales lady like 4 times that there was a sale on for these batteries. She checked all thru the computer and all ads she thought were out and aid they were not on sale. Its bad enough I have to go into Sears to deal with these Morons and they can't even look up there own sales items...I bought a camera for my wife at xmas that was onsale and the idiot clerk their had to ring up my order 4 friggen times to get it right, then she swore all of the previous 3 times had been voided properly...of course my Jan bill showed I bought 4 cameras...morons, took me a week to clear this up with Sears...I hope they go out of Business like Wards...not worth the frustration to go back now and show the lady her own dam ad...I'll just go to Costo or BJ's when I need batteries.

Update:

Even cheaper today. Sears went out of the "Free 10 AAA Packs" and were selling the "40 AA Maxell Packs" for $8.00 each. They even gave me a raincheck for the "Free 10 AAA Pack" . So in the end this deal is great if you need AA batteries for Gameboys, Remotes, Cameras, Pagers, Clocks, Toys, etc...
