Is AMD aware its graphics switching technology is generally considered to be buggy and lacking features? If so, how does AMD plan to improve in this area?

We had to bin it before, as at that time Sam hadn't yet completed his coordination with the AT moderating crew. You know, we have to do stuff first like confirm his status with his boss so we are all sure that he is exactly who he purports to be and who he purports to work for, etc, and that he knows our rules and such.

It took a while to make it happen (not on their end, though, I think his boss was easy enough to coordinate with and told us Sam was legit, and not some crazy person out of jail or something; but alas, since we are all volunteer mods, some things just get lost through the cracks sometimes, balls get dropped, etc), but now that he's finally cleared and oriented, he's back and so another thread (this time, all official and approved) is created.

Anyway, let the cleverly-veiled questions continue :thumbsup:

I just want one thing - a laptop in an 11.6 inch chassis with an AMD Kabini A4 5000 chipset. Please tell me one of your partners is working on such a thing?

How come with Brazos, 11.6 inch laptops/netbooks used everything from low end C70 processors to high end E2 CPUs, but with Kabini, the A4-5000 can only be found in 15.6 inch laptops?

I know you can't talk about upcoming products but do you have any useful authority in getting current problems on existing products/services fixed? Are you able to talk to the driver team and get bugs looked at?

What is it your goal here in Anandtech's forums? In a years time what impact are you hoping to have had?

i have amd cpu (since amd 386 dx 40mhz) and amd video card (since 4mb ATI Rage Pro) but i don't think it's a dangerous forum here even though we all have very different views on things.

I honestly dont know what youre talking about. He never confirmed 28nm, that question has not even been posed to him.

OK, real question. Why did AMD market the FX 9590 as a 5GHZ chip, when it is only a 4.7ghz chip? That is false advertisement, or at the very least a sort of "bait and switch".
