RD: So, you're saying that only big money, high population areas should have a say in running the country? Also, I don't think the GOP is keeping Colin Powell out of the game. When it was rumoured that Bush was asking him to be veep, I thought that they could start measuring the drapes that moment. Powell has always said he wasn't interested in elective office, though it seems pretty clear that Bush will make him Sec. of State if this all works out.

Get this: Just heard on the news that the recounts that will happen tomorrow in FL are happening in counties with high Democratic, senior citizen, Jewish (relocated Northeasterners) populations. The canvasers are all Democrats. So, you have Democrats in Democratic areas looking to see if they can find some votes for the Democratic candidate.

Think they'll find any?

We used to have that one-party primary, but they've ditched it, thank God. I agree that you should be able to vote for whoever you want, but it also leads to mischief like Democrats crossing over to vote for someone like McCain with no intention of voting for him in the general election, if he'd gotten the nom. Pros and cons to both methods.

i think this whole thing is an attempt by clinton to stay in office for 4 more years...and a good plan at that, use an idiot like AL gore to do it.
