New monitor in Japan: many questions

Hi, I have been enjoying these forums for a while now but am getting tired of having to specify "in Japan" in my titles since everything PC is so expensive here!

In any case, I am now thinking of soon getting a new monitor to go with my PC:

I5 4690, 16gb ram, GTX 970, but will soon upgrade to a GTX1080 ( or Vega…)

I now have the acer P243W at 1920x1200 (TN panel) and absolutely love it but after almost 10 years I feel it's time to upgrade and put my (future) 1080 to good use.

I usually play AAA single player games (mostly RPG or action), some shooters, NEVER play competitive online games, no racing, strategy or simulation either. I play in a small study, 2-3 feet away from my screen (24' at the present).

I really don't like playing games at less that 60fps. I may sound picky but i often quit playing games when fps drops were too frequent even after changing the graphic settings.

I have never played QHD or 4K games (no big PC store near me), but watched some on YouTube on a 4K TV.

I have read many post concerning the size of the screen, distance of viewing, and resolution, gsynch, HDR and do not have a fixed opinion yet.

Ideally, I would like a 24-27', IPS, QHD, with g-synch. However, in Japan that may be hard to find that with my budget (70,000 yens, or 620$ )

A few questions/concerns:

1. Given my gamer profile, what is your ranking by importance of the following: resolution, HDR, g-synch or no g-synch, IPS or TN, 60Hz vs 144Hz?

2. Will a 50-55fps drop from 60 feel noticeably smoother with gsynch than regular vsynch?

3. Given my gaming habits, do I need G-synch?

3. Provided I can keep a 60fps (by lowering down details), is it worth waiting for HDR or is 4K better?

4. At 2 feet viewing distance is 27' QHD enough, or 4K noticeably better?

5. Is it fair to compare the jump from 1200p to 1440p, to the jump from 720p to 1200p?

Here are some items available in Japan, with prices converted in USD. Shipping from the USA to Japan is sometimes possible, but cost 130$ extra for shipping and customs. Any other suggestions on https://www.amazon.co.jp/ ?

Thanks!

1. Too many basic questions. It depends what you are looking for or whether something particularly annoys you right now and whether you can afford it.

2. You can lookup youtube videos in demos on what gsync/freesync can do for you.

4. Check distance charts like these to see if you benefit from a high resolution:

I realized I had written too many questions indeed. I did some research on various sites and found answers to most questions but I am still not sure between the 2K vs 4K difference at 27-28'. Thanks anyway.

I've got some 40" 4K screens, but they are primarily for desktop work, and watching Hi-Def YouTube.

I don't know if you should go for 4K though, if you are sensitive to games dropping down below 60FPS.

Wait until there are G-Sync (for NV cards) or FreeSync (for AMD cards) 4K monitors at an appropriate size for your desk.

Mine are Black Friday -special TVs that I picked up from Newegg for roughly $200 ea. Budget sets to be sure, but they work great thus far.
