New Monitor: What to choose?

Im looking for a new monitor, and i have been looking at prizes and some other stuff, but what do you guys think i should buy, any god/bad experience....

Im thinking to use about 450$ (=about 3000,-dk) and looking for a 17" or maybe bigger but NOT smaller!

You want the IFT or the NF? I have to warn you they're two completely different types of monitors.

Ok... the NF is my top pick, but the IFT is very good too. If you can afford it get the NF, you wont be disappointed.

I've got the 700NF. Great monitor, great refresh rates, overall, a very good monitor. If you can shell out the extra cash for the 19" 900NF, you also won't be disappointed.

I was told all trinitron is made by Sony.
Does that mean if I buy a Dell computer and I choose the Trinitron monitor it is a Sony Monitor?
What is the difference between the monitor sold by Sony and Dell's monitor?:frown:

LG electronics has released a 17" totally flat screen without the wires visible in Sony monitors!

I recently saw this advertised. I think the 19" is being released this month.

I wish I had waited for these monitors although I haven't seen them.

They sound great. I didn't buy a Sony because of those visible lines on the screen. I got a non-flat Hitachi instead.

KDS makes a reallly nice 17" monitor for about $140. It's an excellent deal and, unless you need professional quality graphics, it is completely adequate for general use as well as playing games.

Hello,

The specs look great! 85Hz at 1600 X 1200 100HZ at 1200 X 1024. BNC and Dsub connectors. Definately one to look at. Thanks for the heads up.

I have a LaCie electron19blue at work. It's the same tube (mitsubishi) as the samsung 900NF, with BNC connectors and crazy geometry controls. This tube is great. I prefer it to the trinitron tubes...

Go with an LG model, good price and excellent products, Samsungs are good too. Sony's are simply overpriced for what they are, unless of course money is no object.
