New monster truck game

One of my kids loves monster trucks. I dusted off Monster Truck Madness 2 for him. But is there anything newer?

Monster Trucks Nitro

MTN1 has a PC port but both MTN1 and MTN2 can be played as flash games.

monster jam came out about a year ago or so. its probably a blast for kids... it has limited replay value for adults. they did do a lot of good things in it though, i always hoped they would make a monster jam 2 (probably will) because it wouldnt have taken much more work to make that game awesome.

Brings back a lot of memories of my earlier racing game days.

Only two tracks. Oh well Monster Jam for the PC looks pretty fun. It seems most of these monster truck games are for consoles, and no love for PC's. I still need to look at Monster Trucks Nitro 1&2.

I used to remember the volumetric headlights and weather effects really wowed me in MTM2.

4x4 Evolution and 4x4 EVO 2 are like spiritual successors to MTM (all are developed by Terminal Reality). And they are released as freeware now! Last time I played (over a year ago) there were people still playing online. Even the Dreamcast version can go online and play with PC people.

Monster Jam for the PC looks good. Does anyone know if Steam has ever put it on sale? I don't recall every seeing it onsale and $19.99 seems alittle much for that old of a game. MTN flash games are not really what I am looking for. I had seen 4x4 EVO, but was looking more for monster trucks not just 4x4s. But, for free I may have to check it out.

Blech, they removed the stock vehicles. I'll just go dig out my CD if I really want to play 4x4Evo2.

MotorM4X does look good. I saw it on Stream also. I little much for my kid though. However the next time it goes on sale I may pick it up for myself.

monster jam is aimed at kids. its easy to play, and is over the top in its presentation. its tries to give you the same presentation as you get from the tv broadcast of monster jam.

$20 is what i paid for it new at best buy, but it is too much for what the game is. $10 would be fine. just find it on amazon for $6.75 brand new shipped.

Here's another vote for Monster Jam. Truth be told, I actually played through it on the 360 (not the PC), but I would assume they are similar - I found it rather fun. It's not something you will play for countless hours, but it does provide some entertainment if you're interested in the subject matter. A few months ago they released a sequel called Monster Jam Path of Destruction. I've yet to try it out so I can't comment regarding how good it is.
