It is a preview edition though isn't it. But yes, in it's current state it sux bigtime when compared to the previous version. Just sounds like someone is getting greedy to me. I'm looking for new P2P file sharing proggy that is not Spyware.

There are p2p networks, gnutella and fasttrack. The old morpheus ran on fastrack but the new one runs on gnutella. Fasttrack is propietary and the owner is kazaa. Gnutella is general public license. apparently there were some business problems between Kazaa (Shaman) and Morpheus (Musiccity) and morpheus had to leave the fastrack network.

You could still use kazaa and look for a spyware remover and a crack.

I agree, the new morpheus does suck. I'm considering changing to Grokster. Has anyone used this program? Does it contain spyware? How hard is it to configure?

Spyware is the general term for software that works in the background and tracks your behavior (usually web browsing) and sends it to some third party.

Kazza and many other programs out ther come with Cydoor. This software is used by Kazaa to display targeted ads. Not sure if it just tracks what you search for or also which websites you go to. Audiogalaxy came with a much worst form of spyware that supposedly logged every key that you pressed and sent it to some company.
