Liveblog here:
http://www.androidcentral.com/motorola-2015-launch-event-liveblog

I'll edit to add all the specs.

Moto G:
2470 mAh battery, 5" 720p display, Snapdragon 410 (boooo)
Nexus 6 rear camera sensor (no OIS), 5mp front camera, IPX7 water resistance
$180 for 8gb storage/1gb RAM version, $220 for 16gb storage/2gb RAM

Moto X Play:
3630mAh, 5.5" 1080p, Snapdragon 615, 2gb RAM
21mp f/2.0 camera, some super-fast charging thing
"$300-400 less" than other devices (apparently $300), launches later

Moto X Style:
3000mAh, 5.7" QHD, Snapdragon 808, 3gb RAM
21mp camera (same one?), super-fast charging
"$200-300 less" (apparently $400)
Pure Edition that works on all US carriers

All have microSD.

Apparently the Moto X Pure will be $399... if it has flagship specs I am sold.

edit: curious about the Moto X Play... that looks like a good mid-range beast of a phone. 5.5", 1080p, 3630mAh battery, Snapdragon 615. Looks like Motorola is making a play for budget mid-range phones and looking to take on Asus and Alcatel! Good competition is great news for consumers.

Some of Moto's webpages have been updated

G 2015
X Play (UK site)
X Pure 2015 (aka the Style, US version)

The Pure is in fact $400 and looks like the 1+2 killer.

I have a feeling the X Play will be a Verizon exclusive DROID in the US. I be looking to put a Style or Pure on T-mobile though.

The Style should be high-end but it has a smaller battery than the Play while getting a more thirsty display and CPU?

Looks like you're right... at least VZ phones are carrier-unlocked, but with the proliferation of LTE bands I wonder how broad the coverage will end up being.

Verizon is in an interesting position. Using Band 13 requires them to unlock their phones, but because they're the ONLY ones using Band 13, they can simply skip support for Bands 12 and 17, and end up with a de-facto carrier lock anyway (AWS/PCS-only just isn't enough to work on AT&T or T-Mobile properly).

OIS in the camera? Otherwise 21MP at night with a normal smartphone sensor is going to be a bit iffy.

So 2014 flagship specs at a bit cheaper than 2014 phones go for - a decent deal but not a "flagship" killer.

Battery life will probably be decent but not great considering the screen, resolution, and battery size.

All 3 carriers use/planning to use band 2/4/5.

Verzon's phones would implement 2/4/5/13, good for use on T-mobile (just missing band 12, maybe AWS 3G, not super important)

AT&T phones can be used on T-mobile (ATT uses 2/4/5/12/17, T-mobile uses 2/4/12, same issue with missing AWS 3G)

T-mobile phones can be used on ATT(missing maybe band 5)

VoLTe/WiFi calling might not be cross-compatible

Sprint's just out of the loop here... sigh

If it's like the 2014 version, the upgrades will be expensive (+$50 for 32gb, +$100 for 64gb, +$25 for wood back). So once you add 64gb and leather back, you're looking at over $525.

Although the phone does look awesome... but they're back to LCD instead of AMOLED...

Because all models support microSD and because M actually improves microSD support, only very specialized users will need the 32/64gb models. Remember, 64gb microSD is like $30 and 128gb is ~$70 now.

Wait... "TFT LCD" on the Pure/Style!? (G and Play don't specify, so still AMOLED?)

There's already a freakout thread on /r/Android about this.

That's not the only place. That's got to KILL battery life with MotoDisplay.

mSD good for media. Less so for apps and such. 16gb gets filled pretty quickly these days. 32gb is a good starting point for most.

Why the heck did they take out AMOLED? That was the killer feature paired with Active Display. It was more than likely a cost savings idea, but what kind of logic is that?

I am on an end of year upgrade cycle.

Seems to be Moto X, One Plus 2 or Nexus 2015?

Moto is looking good, I'm jumping for he highest battery providing phone between these, the more the better. My nexus 5 just isn't cutting it around 150mins SOT.

Did they go to a LCD screen instead of AMOLED? Didn't they have an AMOLED screen in the previous MOTO X? That sucks.

Is that true? 16GB internal storage seems horribly limiting assuming the OS already eats up 8GB or so.

I haven't been following it much, but can apps be fully installed on mSD?

I think outside of super budget devices, 32GB internal is needed, even with mSD.
