Look at the HTC One Remix instead. It has exactly the same screen & innards in a much nicer wrapper. I had a Boost Mobile Moto G flashed to work on Verizon prepaid (Page Plus Cellular) and it just didn't do it for me - too clunky in the hand. Ended up switching to an HTC One (M7) which is larger but skinnier and feels much nicer in the hand. The Remix should cover the aesthetic and tactile areas and otherwise it's the same as the G.

The LTE model you mentioned is the 1st generation (2013), since a 2nd generation Moto G LTE doesn't exist, yet.

I think I understand - I believe you are referring to the gen 2 G which does not have LTE as of yet.

I guess I mistook what you were after, you said Verizon non-prepaid, I assumed you meant you were renewing contract and would therefore get the phone very cheap (at least, upfront cost).

If that's wrong, go look on eBay. There are several right now in excellent to new condition starting at $260. Granted, that is more than the MotoG, but you're getting a MUCH nicer phone for that higher price.

Now there are some limitations. It's the non-LTE version and it's meant for Boost Mobile (so it runs on the Sprint network). And it only has 8 GB of storage and no card slot. But if you don't need fast data and want a cheap, modern phone for a prepaid like Ting, it's an incredible deal. Still has the same 720p display, 1 GB RAM, and quad core CPU.
