New MSI board coming, is OCZ memory OK

Hello,
I have a new MSI K8N neo2 platinum board coming and I want to know 2 things.
1. Can anyone send me to a place that tells the proper sequence when installing a new oS on the MSI board with 2 WD raptor in RAID 0, when to update oS and then drivers?
2. My memory DDRAM 512M| C2 OCZ400512R3 OCZ RT is not on the MSI site and supported, am I screwed or is this memory OK

Why is everyone using OCZ memory. Corsair XMS 3200 2-2-2-5 isnt good?

I understand, well not really but can see why, people are using the OCZ extended bandwidth memory but non-EB OCZ, why?

Question 2?

which is better low latency or bandwidth. In generall and if its mid ranged OCed?

The OCZ EB memory has Micron chips, it is gets along with the AMD64 platform much better at higher FSB speeds.

IC anandtech uses OCZ in some set-ups. Can you post me a link?

Have you had any problems with the msi k8n neo2 platinum board. I am reading other forums who say mobo fails to POST.

My video card does not like my motherboard, at least in a dual monitor config. I have been trying to find out some info about this issue, but nobody seems to know. The problem I am having is the primary port on the video card (port close to the mobo) will go into sleep mode/idle when I run any direct3d app on it. The other port is fine though I can still see a picture.

OCZ is using Micron chips so OCZ and the Crucial memory (Ballistix) are good and are the same.

Thanks for the information,
I sent back the Gigabyte MLB and OCZ RAM and got an MSI K8N Neo2 Plat and 1Gig PC3200XLPRO Corsair memory. I have all the parts except for the FX-53-939 which should be here Thursday latest. I will check and see if I get the same video issues as jcav5, I'm running a Apple 23" cinema with the DVI connector.

All of the memory could also do DDR466 on the Athlon 64 platform, but often required slightly slower timings or a bit more voltage. The only Samsung memory that achieved DDR500 on the MSI Athlon 64 was the OCZ PC3200 Platinum Rev. 2 - none of the other Samsung-base DIMMs could reach this milestone. In addition, the OCZ, which reached DDR557 on the Intel board, could not reach much higher than DDR500 before we got failed boots.

The only memory that duplicated the Intel results on Athlon 64 was the Crucial Ballistics PC3200, based on Micron chips. Across the entire range from DDR400 to DDR514, the Ballistix performed at the same voltages and timings that it displayed on the Intel test bed. This performance reminds us that Micron memory chips are also used in OCZ 3500EB and 3700EB, which also perform as well on Athlon 64 as they do on an Intel board.
