There are three ways to fix the issue:
(1) Edit the driver INF file and remove everything but the highest refresh rate for each resolution (subject to your monitor of course).
(2) Use a utility like RivaTuner that alters your registry and strips away all refresh rates except for the highest one your monitor supports.
(3) Use a memory resident program like Multires which intercepts resolution changes and automatically applies the refresh rate you've selected. >>
were you able to get rivatuner or multires to work? i was using rivatuner before the upgrade and was working perfectly for the refresh rate. after installing the new drivers though, at least in counterstrike, it hasnt been able to work.. so i tried multires (checkbox checked to force refresh rate), and it partially works until i enter an actual game, then it reverts back to 60hz. thanks
