New NVidia drivers has my video tweaked

Happily installed new drivers this morning and now any video I watch is all screwed up color wise! I tried everything I could think of, even reinstalled all video codecs, no dice. Any suggestions?

I don't know anything about this, or why i can't even watch any videos without my computer locking up. 77.72 and 77.30 drivers each wont let me watch any videos using Quicktime, WMP, etc...have to use driver cleaner and install the 71.89 if i want to watch something...

For some reason the Gamma on the overlay setting is screwed up (at least on mine). You can set it to 0.5, 3.6, or 6. 0.5 is too dark and the others screw up the video, I believe it defaults to 3.6. Setting to advanced fixes it by setting the gamma to 1. I don't know why this is, seems like a bug to me.

Yeah, my buddy just got a new pc, i installed the newest 77.72 drivers for his 6800nu card and any video he plays through WMP 10 looks like garbage. I had to uninstall the 77.72 drivers and go back to the 71.89's. Looks like i'll wait for the next batch of drivers before i upgrade my own machine.

If you default the settings in colour section as others have explained in a few threads here, it works but will revert soon after, just SAVE it with a new name (profile), then if you have TV out or 2nd monitor do same, put picture onto it, default colours, save with a new name (profile).

Ive ran 4 days now and both CRT and TV aint went back to messed up colours, i only had this in Powerdvd not WMP btw, its still bad Nvidia passed the sh1t drivers with MS's WHQL, as some n00b obv didnt test fully.

I dont see any issues in my games.

I had the same problem when i updated my Nvidia drivers. I knew what to do..but that doesnt let Nvidia off the hook for a poor choice for the default for this setting.

New beta drivers, 77.76 fix the gamma issue. It was on the home page a while ago.

yes, would appear that 77.76 fixes this. I guess nvidia doesn't test their drivers before they release...and doesnt say much for whql certificaiton...
