its a 780ti with 6GB of vram, and 1/3FP double precision... and DP has no effect on gamers, just compute/research. The 6GB of VRAM (though not error correcting like quadro) is nice if youre doing some insane multimonitor resolution, but outside of that, literally the exact same performance as the 780ti.
They should be labelling it as a budget compute/design card, not a gaming card.
hmm, 1fps... I dunno. That's one of the multimon resolutions though... running on 3 monitors.
Sad thing is, Nvidia will still make BANK off this card as fanboys rush to pick up just to have "The most expensive card!!!!"
Im guilty of that... I ditched my SLI'd 680's for SLI'd Titans when they came out last year... and then ditched my Titan's for 780ti's (which the titans paid off, plus cash to spare, lol). Literally, I've not noticed a single difference in any game I've played through them all, though im sure there's been nominal differences behind the scenes in benchmarks.
Not gonna hop onto the Titan Blacks (fool me once sort of thing)... I use one monitor at 2560x1600... the 6GB of RAM on my first pair of titan's was wasted (though the video designer/modeler I sold them to apparently had much use for it). The 780ti's are more than plenty of RAM for what im playing.
higher end maxwells, on the other hand... if they surpass the 780ti's in performance, might have to grab a couple.
Personally I'm hoping that the high end maxwells finally give us 1440P/1600P gamers the ability to go single card and have decent performance. 780 Ti single card is not quite good enough, need SLI
All the hate from the 780ti crowd must just come from realizing they no longer own the fastest single-gpu card. Don't hate on the price, you 780ti guys got ripped of just as hard. Worse if you look at the $/GB.
Nobody is going to pay $700-800 for an aftermarket 780ti when you get double the vram from a Titan Black for an extra $200 or so.

Considering the Titans were $1300 a piece (though I got my second one on a epic deal)... I am a little aggravated they are charging only $1000 for a titan black.

People complain about it being a ripoff, bit it is for compute. The Titan was a pro card that some people used for gaming.
