That doesn't really explain the problems with the WHQL drivers.Originally posted by: Mem
They are beta drivers so expect problems etc...personally I never install beta drivers unless I have too.Originally posted by: knifemyglitter

What dedicated 8800 series drivers?
The 100-series drivers have been unified from the beginning.

For some reason didn't install the control panel for me in x64. Otherwise haven't seen any problems yet though only tested in WoW.

I saw a thread on the official nvidia forums. A user said this driver package is missing an important file. He fixed it by installing the driver over the previous one (without uninstalling the old driver). The filename (and download location too I think) is in a thread in the Forceware drivers section on forums.Nvidia.com.
Edit: Tried to look for the thread. No luck.

sorry never realized that. i just switched to a 8800 after 3 yrs of ATI cards. NVidia makes you select weather or not you have a 8800 or older geoforce card, so I though they were different.
then my switch to Vista has confused me even more cause i have downloaded so many different nvidia drivesrs lateley.
