The new control panel sucks chunks - the people who design these things at ATi and nVidia are obviously not gamers.
Fortunately the drivers seem to work well and they even fixed the pausing I had in Soldiier of Fortune when enabling 8xAA.
My nHancer profiles appear to be working just fine. They have the profile bug (only the global profile actually works) and on top of that they interfere with nHancers ability to run, so you can't even manually activate profiles.

You will need to use refreshforce or similar the refresh overrides have been gone a long time now.

Acanthus My current windows install is fresh (only two weeks old). 84.43 is the only driver other than 91.31 official my main system has seen (tried the beta 91.31 on my 6600gt rig). System was reimaged to a point prior to any graphics driver being present before installing 91.31, so no way that 84.43 could have interfered in any way.

...and yet, PureVideo still isn't free.
I'm still interested in seeing what the new control panel looks like
It will never be free, because of dvd/codec royalties.
couldn't they include that in the price of the cards?

You'd have to write to BFG/Evga about that. They probably wont do that though, because not many of us are interested in that.
It IS included in the price of the card if you buy the Purevideo decoder from Nvidia
But jacking up prices higher for all of us under the illusion that it will be "free" for us to get that decoder is delusional.
No such thing as a free lunch dude.

I swear, as soon as I hit apply the bottom inch of my screen disappears and digital vibrance gets cranked up. I didn't even change anything except to use the settings I want, but before I can even make changes it does this crap. It did it with the first 9X's that came out as well. Something in this series hates my Westy 37".

Settle down, I was responding to the possibility, unlikely imo, of nv forcing people to use it in later releases.

If Vista is in your future, then you had better get used to it...
Its actually quite rare for me to go anywhere near the control panel for a good driver. nHancer controls almost everything I need controlled.
