They have the profile bug (only the global profile actually works) and on top of that they interfere with nHancers ability to run, so you can't even manually activate profiles.
They have the same SLI bug that the beta's have - Single GPU owners receive a message stating SLI has been detected but disabled on thier system. This happens every reboot.
error message
I'd stick with whatever you are currently using driverwise.

I'm still interested in seeing what the new control panel looks like

Dear God, do NOT download these drivers if you want to use your socket AM2 motherboard and video card more than 7 minutes without a random, no-explanation restart... I just assembled a system based off ASUS's M2N-E motherboard and a 3500+ AM2 processor and these drivers have done nothing but wreak havoc with the new Mini Behemoth. For the love of all that's holy I implore you to steer clear and continue using 84.21 for now. I don't know who fubar'ed this up... whether it was Nvidia, ASUS, or XFX (using an XFX 7900GT card on this sytem) but the order of the day with 91.xx are random restarts, system hangs, etc. Its pretty frustrating.
My nHancer profiles appear to be working just fine. They have the profile bug (only the global profile actually works) and on top of that they interfere with nHancers ability to run, so you can't even manually activate profiles.

You will need to use refreshforce or similar the refresh overrides have been gone a long time now.
Acanthus My current windows install is fresh (only two weeks old). 84.43 is the only driver other than 91.31 official my main system has seen (tried the beta 91.31 on my 6600gt rig). System was reimaged to a point prior to any graphics driver being present before installing 91.31, so no way that 84.43 could have interfered in any way.

It will never be free, because of dvd/codec royalties.

why would they? most people purchasing a 3d gaming card have little interest in watching movies on it. Those who wish to watch movies pay for the ability, the rest don't.
I can't comment on beta 2.0 but I can confirm 1.2.2 works perfectly with my profiles.however, nhancer (latest beta 2.0) would bring up an error dialog wanting to close with these drivers. you could click past it, however, none of the profiles displayed the executables or executable path and no settings could be changed in the profiles (including the checkbox necessary to manually activate a profile).
No, it's always been there but it's just hidden. You can download the registry entry from nVidia's website to re-activate it.You will need to use refreshforce or similar the refresh overrides have been gone a long time now.
If nVidia starts forcing that clunky new control panel they should split the driver download like ATi have done to give you the option of just using the base driver + 3rd party tweaker.I hope they don't remove the classic display panel down the road since I prefer that to the new one ,even though it is not perfect.
 I hate that new CP.Originally posted by: BFG10K
